It took faith to go for a quick vacation, which was only one night to the Oregon Coast. This faith included a hope that the kids would pack everything they need (I didn’t help any of them this time around), that we would all get along for 24 hours straight (I was only hoping for success just over 50% of the time), and memories of our adventure together would be created. At the very least, I know that seeing some new sights would be stimulating, for different reasons for each of us.
Did you see that hill behind the kids? The next photo is of us walking right through it to the other side!
This next one is so typical of us and the main reason I’m so loud. Put this many people in one spot for more than a second and all attention is lost and only gained through a holler or a whistle. Thank you Lord, for my whistle!
The trees are awesome here. You’d think I had wanted to get a photo of the kids, but instead, it really was the trees that I wanted to get.
Who can resist looking through these things?
Lacey had her own way of coping with wet grass getting her pants wet. It’s the sort of detail I’d forget about a trip unless we made a point of documenting it.
Judah wanted his photo all to himself. With 6 sisters, he has a tough time making that happen.
Cool tree!
I don’t think I was nearly as educated as a kid since I didn’t have siblings close enough in age to show me how to do everything, like Heidi is learning from Judah here.
