This post is all about fun. We took a short vacation up to the Seattle area and managed to squeeze so many fun activities and sights, even while reserving the mornings to swim in the pool.
Craig figured out what to do first: tour an aircraft carrier. He was stationed on one when we were first married and our first child, Jema, was born his last month in the Navy. Neither of us had set foot on one since, so it was a major flashback to do it again.
It seems that Lacey is destined for greatness.
The tour was great, but long. Only Lacey and I complained about being hungry and tired while everyone else was entertained the entire time. We ate, managed to locate a different hotel, and ended up at Ballard Locks for sunset. It was irresistible lighting for a photographer. I am showing restraint by showing only some of the jillions I took that evening. 🙂
A tug showed up in the locks just after we arrived.
We waited for it to pass through.
Most were happy to wait.
Some were not.
One the way back to the car, I was impressed by the sunset, even in the window reflection. Jo thought the phone booth was pretty cool. Weird, but cool.
