In one day, even just a partial day since we spent the morning in the pool, we conquered a few hot spots in Seattle. To begin the day, we stumbled onto the Wooden Boat Center and their free sailing rides on Sundays. Craig and I are a little partial to sailboats, since we lived aboard one for awhile, so despite a couple grumbles from the younger set, we signed up and then had an hour and a half to kill waiting for our ride. Zipping over to the Seattle Center seemed easy, and was, despite some construction traffic (I thought construction happened only in the summer in the Pacific Northwest!). This is the normal type of family photo from an adventure like this, which will probably make you feel pretty good that it’s not just your own kids who ham it up for a family shot.
Pikes Place followed sailing. During the entire trip, this was where I was most concerned about losing someone. That didn’t happen, here.
Even though this gummy bear had been in the candy store window for six years, it didn’t dampen their enthusiasm for it.

We spent a few years in Bremerton before kids, so our next stop was the ferry ride to the other side. This is where we lost Lacey for a few minutes. Fortunately we had many searchers amongst us and we found her within minutes.
It’s funny how kids create chaos wherever we go, yet some aren’t even aware. That guy with the smartphone didn’t look up once (I was watching to see if he was bothered). Kena, she’s used to the chaos.
